Contingent recruitment
Tendo Solutions delivers contingent recruitment services to clients seeking permanent
or contract placements, and for those with fixed-term and fixed-price assignments.
Permanent
We find candidates from several places, including our own database and through
a mixture of advertising, external database searches, networking and personal introductions.
During the selection process we appraise each candidate to ensure that the best individuals are
short listed, and then typically present the details of three candidates for each
vacancy. CVs are presented together with an overview of the candidate’s appropriateness
for the role. We can administer tests and check candidate references as per the
client’s requirements.
Recruitment timescales chiefly depend on the seniority and the
degree of specialisation of each candidate. We endeavour to keep the client up to date with any developments
or considerations that are relevant to their campaign.
Succession planning
Tendo Solutions is aware of the need for succession planning, particularly for those posts that are
considered vulnerable and where specialist know-how is required and there are no internal successors,
or where the jobholder is on a temporary contract.
We actively listen to clients’ concerns and are able to help identify potential successors before
uncertainties suddenly require action. This approach costs the client nothing, but enables us to
begin the recruitment process from a warm position, especially when replacements are required for
senior and strategic posts.
Contract
Contractors are normally required for unknown periods of time, or where short-term
expertise is required. We realise there
may be a necessity for speed, so efficiently score those candidates on our short
list. We ensure clients benefit from those contractors who are best suited to the
role and the environment.
Interim Assignments
Interim or fixed-term recruitment may be helpful where the client wishes to recruit
a full-time jobholder for a specified period. This has the advantage of filling
a position temporarily, such as for maternity cover.
The jobholder is paid on a salaried basis and can receive normal employee benefits for
their period of engagement.
Fixed-Price Assignments
Fixed-price work may be an appropriate method of recruitment where the client needs
a project or other piece of work delivered within a fixed budget, or where there
is a significant time pressure. This is suitable for management as other strategic posts.
